It’s not enough to be a full-time mom, you have to actively participate in school as well. And the follow-up in the studies is fundamental, especially with smaller children, who quickly become tired with homework and in the first periods still can not read the statements proposed in the exercises.
But how to follow without doing them? After all, homework is a way to reinforce what the teacher taught in school and if parents give the answers, for lack of patience or haste, this may even make it hard for them to learn.

1- In order to help children with their homework at all ages, it is a good idea to reserve a quiet space in your home, so that the child can focus on the proposals that must be made.
2- Your child should have at his disposal, the school supplies he will need: pencil, eraser, colored pens, scissors, etc. Adequate this list of materials according to the school age of your children – it is worth remembering that the smaller, the more frequent the tasks that require materials such as glue, scissors, watermarks, crayons, etc. As they grow, this demand diminishes, and they need predominantly pencil, pen, and rubber.

For example: if the child studies in the morning, after school, lunch comes, a short rest and lesson / study. For those who have children in Early Childhood Education:
1) Regardless of the pedagogical proposal of the school where your child is studying, and the age of the child, remember: homework is based on what was discussed in class, and even if you do not know how to read yet, the child should get home Knowing what to do and how to do homework.
2) That means his homework is his, not his!
3) Whenever possible have magazines at home that can be cut out – look for materials that bring both pictures and words.
4) In some schools, at this stage, it is common for children to bring home a notebook in which they should record events of the family routine. If this is part of the pedagogical proposal of the school in which your child studies, let the child choose the bearer of it: it can be photo, drawing, cut and paste, but that is always the child’s choice, both with regard to What to record, or how to do it.
For those who have children in literacy, all the above tips are worth, but do not forget:
1) Reading is a habit, which can and should be developed, too, at home, with the help of the family. To get started, try to have good books at home, and to find out what they are, get directions to school, and remember the classics! The tales and fables are usually the children’s interest!

1) the Internet can be a great partner in school research, but should always be monitored by an adult. Typically, when requesting surveys, schools indicate good sites for gathering information, but always look for monitoring this activity.
2) When it comes to searches, remember: searching is not copying from the source consulted. Research involves the reading of the researcher, and the elaboration of his own text, regarding the researched topic.
3) for math assignments, let your child choose the best way to solve the proposal presented, offering help only if they perceive failure to understand the question. When this happens, try to give an example, or even look for the “keywords” of a problem, by giving them a glimmer. But the resolution, and its registration, will always be the child’s task (although its strategy differs from conventionality).
4) If you even help in this way, realize that your child did not understand the question, let him take it blank to school, and ask him to explain to the teacher what happened. If you are unsure of this situation, send yourself a message for the teacher, but do not be tempted to teach yourself.
Finally: take an interest in the final result of the lesson, asking to check the notebook, but do not correct if you find a fault! Let the teacher do it, because the moments of correction of homework in the classroom are usually precious for the learning process of the little ones.
